Founded in Toronto, Canada, in 1986 as a competitive energy retailer, Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Energy proudly serves residential and business customers in Alberta.

After the deregulation of Alberta's gas and electricity market in 2004, Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Energy purchased the retail divisions of ATCO Gas and ATCO Electric and continues to offer those services through our regulated company, Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Energy Regulated Services (DERS), a subsidiary of Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Energy Marketing Ltd.

In January 2021, Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Energy became a wholly-owned subsidiary of NRG Energy. NRG's expanded portfolio provides additional opportunities to serve customers with valuable products and services. Å·ÃÀÇéÉ« Energy operates in 50 US states, the District of Columbia, and eight Canadian provinces. We provide best-in-class service capabilities and technologies for a wide range of customers.
